Bail Bond Costs

Typically, the cost of a bail bond is 10% of the total bail amount. The 10% fee is called the premium. The premium is what you pay a bail bond company to put up a bond for the full amount of the bail so your friend or loved one can be released from jail.

For example, if the bail amount is $10,000, it would cost $1,000 for a bail bond. The premium, $1,000 in this example, is fully earned once the person is released from jail. The premium is not refundable. It will not be returned. Not even if the person was wrongly arrested, no charges were filed or the person gets rearrested. If a payment plan was set up, all payments must be made even if the case is over before all of the payments are made. The Bail Bond Agreement is a legally binding contract. It is enforceable in a court of law.

We accept credit cards, personal checks and cash for payment of the premium. Our local professional bail agents will be happy to assist you with the bail bond process. Several payment options are available. There are no extra fees for payment plans and no interest.

OTHER COSTS: As long as the person that is bailed out makes all of their court appearances, there usually are not any other costs or money that will have to be paid other than the initial bail bond premium. If a court date is missed and the person returns to court within a certain amount of time, it won’t cost anything extra. In the event someone skips bail, then any costs to apprehend the person and return them to court will be passed on to the Indemnitor/Co-Signer. It is not recommended to sign for a bail bond unless you are very sure the person you are signing for will not skip bail.
