Choosing the right bail bondsman to help you get your friend or family member out of jail can be a tough decision to make. We’d like to make it easier for you by sharing a quick tip to use when talking to your bail bondsman that will allow you to determine if the bail bondsman that you’re speaking with is a rookie or not.

You see, with our more than 30 years of bail bond experience here in Orange County, we’ve figured out what needs to be done in order to get the bail bonds process completed as smoothly as possible, and we’ve trained our agents to carry out these procedures, that way our clients have a smooth and relatively painless process when working with us. As painless as it can be, when we’re talking about getting somebody out of jail.

One of the things that is required of our bail bond agents is that they are notary publics. This means that on more complicated bail bonds, when there might be a need to take collateral, we won’t have to call on the assistance of a second professional, we’ll just be able to take care of the paperwork right then and there with the bail agent that is at hand, because they’re already a notary public.

Not every bail bond company out there requires their bail agents to be notary publics, so they might need to call on a second person to show up, which could complicate things and add delays that don’t need to be there.

It’s not required for most bail bonds for a notary to be present, but it’s a good idea for bail bondsmen to be licensed for it gives you an idea of the level of professionalism of the company that you’re dealing with when they require that their employees and their bail agents are notary publics.

So if you’re looking to figure out whether the bondsman you’re speaking with is a rookie or not, just ask them if they’re a notary public. And if they’re not, chances are that they haven’t been licensed for very long as a bail bondsman, and they might not be very experienced in doing bail bonds, so you might want to call someone else.
